The three uses of Instructional Technology that I will be using in my lessons are power point in my Direct Instruction lesson, an online chart creator (lovelycharts) in my Concept Attainment lesson, and the fake Facebook conversations (fakeconvos) in my Inquiry lesson plan. There are many ways that this technology enhanced my lessons but most notably are how they improved my ability to teach the lessons, and give the students a better understanding of the topics at hand. The power point will enhance my Direct Instruction lesson by allowing me to provide students with all the necessary vocabulary and terms, as well as allowing me to give a history of three different religions that would typically take multiple days to cover. The online chart creator adds to my Concept Attainment lesson by allowing students to use technology to help with their group work. This allows students to become familiar with technology they can continue to use in their classes, as well as allowing them to complete the assignment in a quicker time than it would take otherwise. The fake Facebook conversation is a good tool for history and will enhance my lesson by allowing students to actually step into the shoes of religious leaders and discuss events in a fun way that will keep students interested. Technology standards are mentioned in in the standards chart.
